Writing a Manolith.com article about this lady right now. I tend to write my articles on the fly, just start with a shred of an idea, allow it to find its own way.
Then I’ll yell at the skies, tear my hair out, realize it sucks and start over again.
At which point I’ll find myself utterly unwilling to start from scratch, and so will cannibalize the first draft for solid bits, rebuilding from the parts, coming up with something I can live with.
Half the time I’m still unsatisfied. Which I suppose is good, keeps me trying to make the next one better.
But it sure would be nice if it just rolled out the gate perfect.
