Elton John - This Train Don’t Stop Here Anymore
So many things to say about this video. This is how my brain works:
Listening to Justin Timberlake->he’s funny!->I used to dislike him->what made me like him?->oh yeah, when he was in that Elton John video->which one…oh yeah->I wanna see that again!
And here we are. I’ve always been a fan of the kind of shots that make up this video, the Scorsesse “follow somebody through several turns into several scenarios” shot. It looks terribly complex, and I’m always impressed when they pull it off, be it in one shot or several connected ones.
Did I mention it was directed by David LaChappelle? And that, yes, that’s Pee Wee Herman in there, as well?
Oh, and I just happen to be a big Elton John fan, as well. I’m basically a fan of everything in this video. Enjoy, I’m gonna go back to singing along to this one!
