There’s a feral quality to this I like.  On a whim, I used the flash on my polaroid here, just to see how she looked with a dash of artificial light.  It’s an option I won’t have for much longer, as I switch over to medium format, and as I’m slowly finalizing the transition, I’m coming to terms with the things I’ll miss.  Built-in flash, auto-focus, watching the print in my hand as it develops, being able to add my best shots to the wall of photos I’ve put together in my apartment.  I’m gaining a higher-quality photo, greater control over the image, the acquisition of more actual knowledge of photography.  But I doubt there’ll be a day goes by I don’t think of Polaroid and how much it so perfectly fit my needs as an artist.
