theterence asked: sup lou,

what kind of light meter do you use for your c330?

I use a minolta auto meter IV F, with some fancy attachment that lets me point it at what I want a reading off, then read off that point.

It’s on permanent loan to me from my friend, Jen, who used it all during film school.  She told me it’s kind of expensive, and that I should do my very best not to lose it.

So far I’ve lost it about 4 times.  Which led, with some haste, to me sweating through several shirts while I check eBay for a replacement.

I have always found it before needing to hit the Buy Now Or Jen Will Kill You Several Times Over button.

Perhaps also of note: I promised myself, when I first started shooting medium format, that I would use the light meter for only a year, and during that year learn to eyeball settings, like my friends Julia and Bryan do.  Because they are awesome.  And make us all look bad.

Three years later…still working on that.  Any day now, I’m sure.
