failedimitator asked: Hey Lou,
I don't know if this is like a one question per person thing, because I already asked -- and you so very graciously answered.
But anyway, I just saw a portrait of you shot and caption at the bottom was, "The Infamous Lou and his Mistress (The LA Light)" -- and then it hit me, you don't like the flash.
I know the sun is great and all, but do you have anything against artificial light? Just wondering :)

I’ll answer as many questions as you got! I pretty much just answer them in the order they come in, so here we go.
I have nothing against artificial light. I just don’t like it as much as the sun. But I’ve done a couple of shoots with Lights and had myself a good ol’ time.
Thing of it is, the sun is free, and I don’t have to carry it around or provide it a power source or set it up. For the kind of shoots I tend to do, it’d be a major hassle for a lazy bum like me to introduce artificial lighting.
Also, I’m still figuring sunlight out, still going through all the ways I can use it. Maybe on the day I go “OKAY, I’M DONE WITH SUNLIGHT” I’ll start working with artificial lights. But right now there’s nothing in my brain telling me I need to go out and get some. And if I can’t trust my brain, WHAT CAN I TRUST?
