I tried to adjust the shades, failed miserably. So I just sat Laura down in the middle of the living room, made sure I had enough light coming in from the backyard, and went to work.
This was right at the beginning of the shoot, I wanted to make sure the camera liked her. I always shoot off a Polaroid or two at the beginning, right after I give my “these are the cameras I use” speech. A speech I am wicked proud of.
Not even sure what I would’ve done if it hadn’t, but of course, I mean, look at her, there was never a chance of that.
