Musical genius. That’s all I got to say about that.
Okay, fine, more: This track comes from his double album, Songs in the Key of Life, which I find less funky, more beautiful than the previous albums. I usually prefer his funkier stuff, but every once in awhile I come back to this and am stunned by how well he’s able to write a song about how he’s so totally in love with someone, without it sounding sappy or cliché.
Right now I’m sitting on a couch in another country, the sun’s barely up, and sweet songs about beautiful women fit just right.
