Dead & Gone - T.I. (feat. Justin Timberlake)
The best songs on T.I.’s album have guest stars. The local hip-hop radio station backs me up, as it currently has in rotation ALL of those songs.
Which blows my mind. I’m a rock n’ roller, man. I’m all about the local rock stations, the alt. rock, the classic rock, the kind of light rock but every once in awhile some good rock.
But rock is wicked boring right now.
So for the last few months, it’s been all about the hip hop stations. Beyonce, Kayne, Ludacris, Li’l Wayne, T.I., right now, these folks are far more interesting.
Does Animal Collective have Justin Timberlake guest-starring on any of their songs? No.
Do the Kings of Leon sing about their similarity to both a hustler and a college student? No.
I’m out of examples, I can barely even think of another rock band that’s put something out recently of any worth.
WHERE HAS ALL THE GOOD ROCK GONE!??!?!
