Got a roll from the Mamiya back from the developer.  Liked it so much, I’m staring at the remaining, undeveloped, rolls on my desk, willing them to develop themselves.  Which is not only impossible, but would most likely be inconvenient, as they appear to be a surly bunch who would make a horrible mess.

This is Katie, who had no idea what she was in for when she agreed to me Laura & I for a shoot in a secluded Malibu park.  Hiking, cold weather, wet ground, bamboo, lying in the grass (why didn’t I develop the roll w/her lying in the grass???).

But she’s a pro, sucked it up and made it happen.  As you can see.

I decided to put this one on the blog, as opposed to Flickr, because it’s really just a standard shot.  Sure, she’s gorgeous, achingly gorgeous, but I’ve got lots of shots like that.  I kind of want something…more? Deeper? Different?  Something a bit more varied in the pose?  It’s as if I start with the simple poses, like this, and work my way, during the shoot, into something more dynamic.  Hopefully.
