On paper, a cemetery is an excellent place to do a shoot.  Great scenery, wide variety of shifting details in your background.  Stone and grass creating this great dynamic.

But actually being in one, trying to shoot, much less fun than it looks.

Melissa and I were constantly on the lookout for security, or a random family angry we were photographing their loved one’s gravestone.

And I’m the kind of guy who doesn’t like being somewhere I’m not supposed to be.  Can’t keep it out of my thoughts when I shoot.

So we shot fast, always keeping an eye out, trying to remain hidden from view.  Results were mixed, and for a second we thought we’d been spotted by someone and were about to be nabbed.

Fortunately it was just sightseers?
