Morgan wanted black & white.  Which I haven’t done since Polaroid made some nifty black & white instant film back in…um…98? 99?

She emailed me several photos, to help give me an idea of what she wanted. Had a whole stack printed out for me when I arrived at her place.

And they were all in black & white.

And I live to serve, so here we are.

I actually enjoyed thinking about the shots with b&w in mind, concentrating more on the contrast of the image, of where the light played out, letting go of how the colors would compliment each other.  In some ways, it was a bit easier for me, no more worrying about how shitty the wallpaper was, or how the bedspread dampened the photo because it blended in too well with what the model was wearing.

Always good to step outside the comfort zone.  Ocassionally.
