I try to capture something true about my models. Having Morgan get herself all “dark” seems to stray from that idea, until I realize I don’t know Morgan all that well.
I don’t know if, in fact, this darker look we used is closer to who she actually is, or whether or not it’s a side she hides, but considers as much “her” as any other.
It’s an idea that only just occurred to me, but that I find incredibly intriguing, that no matter how hard I try to photograph an essential aspect of my models, there may very well be one or more other sides being hidden, or just sitting there, no observed because I haven’t taken the time to probe.
That there’s more there I have yet to see.
