Take advantage of the sun, fall (and then winter) is on its way.*

*not applicable in Los Angeles, as it is summer forever.

Maintaining your glasses is very important when near a man-made river, under a city street and very close to where hobos breed.

I often like to give myself small obstacles to overcome during a shoot, like, oh, I dunno, spending half a day driving up the farming wasteland of California’s central valley before attempting to navigate San Francisco’s torturous streets to find the shoot.

It was also very hot that day.

And my podcasts weren’t loud enough.

But then you walk up the stairs to the roof and see the kind of light San Francisco’s gifted you. You start talking to Finch and realize you’ve got your buddy Jon next to you, Finch’s good friend, which makes the Getting to Know You bit go down easier and quicker than normal.

Then came the laughs, the short trip downstairs to shoot on the street (where I found a corner EVERYONE IN SAN FRANCISCO LIKE TO WALK PAST), a short trip back to the roof.

Then bubbles.

If you have a bubble-maker at your disposal, for science’s sake, USE IT.  It’s fantastic.

Most likely utterly useless, but who doesn’t like bubbles? You? Because you’re a Nazi? Hm?
